Lorenz K. Allamand, 77, passed away at the John McDonald Hospital Wednesday noon, Oct. 13. He had been ill for a long time.
Funeral services were held Satuday Oct. 16, at the First Congregational Church at 2 p.m. in Monticello with the Rev. Charles Ellett officiating.
Born May 16, 1877 in Monticello, he was the son of Abraham and Dorothea Accolla Allamand. He was educated in the Monticello community and was married to Anna M. Arnold October 14, 1905 at Monticello. The couple farmed until 1924 when they moved to their present address in Monticello.
Survivors include his wife; two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of the Congregational Church in Monticello in which he had held various offices.
Interment was made at Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Herman Egger, Ed Meier, Robert Savage, Chester Condit, I. I. Rhatigan, and Neal Hayden.
