| Gary Porter Catlett, age 67, of Knox, Indiana passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at his home. Gary was born April 10, 1947 in Jones County, Iowa to Gail and Selma (Antons) Catlett, both deceased.He was a Veteran, having served in the U. S. Navy, a long time member of the North Judson American Legion and the San Pierre Volunteer Fire Department.On June 18, 1999 he married Theresa Alexander, M.D., she survives. Also surviving are his children, Todd Catlett (Rita) of Nichols, Kim Shepherd (Gerald) of Winamac, Indiana, Heather Noble (Jason) of Henderson, TN, and Greg Catlett of Sevierville, TN; step-children, Martin Alexander (Judy) of Peru, IN, Tracy Alexander (Nellie) of Knox, IN, Barb Alexander of Virginia and Caroline Alexander of Portage, IN; sisters Sally Edwards of Amber, Jan Thompson (Gary) of Wichita Falls, TX, Geri Starry (Don) of Monticello, Kathy Sauer (Randy) of Olin, Linda Kreger (Jon) of Olin, Jane Maizel of Olin, and Terri Schmit of Olin; twenty-seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Visitation was Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 4 - 8 p.m. at M. C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Funeral services were Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Knox. Interment was at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox.
