Rhinehart Henry Tobiassen

Death of Wayne Township Farmer

Rhinehart Henry Tobiassen, a well known farmer of Wayne township died at his home inst Sunday evening, May 9, following a ten days illness of pneumonia. He contracted influenza, about two weeks ago, and this disease occasioned a serious intestinal condition which caused his death. During his illness, Mr. Tobiassen was tenderly cared for by his wife.
The funeral services were held this morning at 10 o'clock, at Wayne Zion's Lutheran church, of which Mr. Tobiassen has been a member. The services were conducted by Rev. C. C. Mardorf of Monticello and Rev. John Willms the pastor of the church. Burial was made in the cemetery adjoining the church.
Mr. Tobiassen was born in Wayne township, July 15, 1879, and was 46 years old at the time of his death. He was the son of the late John Henry and Katherine (nee Rickels) Tobiassen. When he was three months old he was baptized by Rev. Mardorf, and March 18, 1894, was confirmed in the Wayne Lutheran church.
He was married December 21, 1906 to Miss Anna Schoon. They became the parents of four children, two of whom, Andrew and Earl, survive with Mrs. Tobaissen.
Mr. Tobiassen is also survived by four sisters, Mrs. Katherine Kasper of Monticello, Mrs. Mary Zimmerman of Monticello, Mrs. Anne Hanken of Center Junction, and Mrs. Adeline Poppe of Wayne township. He also leaves one brother, Rudolph Tobiassen of Monticello.
