Margaret Mae Tucker Fulwider

Margaret M. Fulwider, 93, of Anamosa, died Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2018, at Riverside Cemetery, Anamosa. Rev. Melody Williams officiated.
Margaret Mae Tucker was born August 23, 1925, in Woodruff, South Carolina, the daughter of Swinton and Bertha (Ray) Tucker. She graduated from high school in 1942. On September 23, 1946, she married Laverne Fulwider in Greenville, South Carolina. He died in 2012.
While Margaret kept the family home and raised their children, she also found time to run Laverne’s construction company, helping in the office until 1985, when the couple moved to Missouri. She was a member of the Anamosa United Methodist Church, where she served as the superintendent of Sunday school for many years.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Those honoring her memory are her children, Linda Goodwin, Anamosa, and Paul Fulwider, Denison; grandchildren, Michelle (Curtis) Cooper, Chris (Alycia) Goodwin, Tina (Jim) Roman and Sarah (Dave) Campbell; great-grandchildren, Haley Sloan, Emily Sloan, Brooklyn Cooper, Hanah Roman, Grace Roman, Breanna Campbell, Gabriella Campbell and Boston Goodwin; and a great-great-granddaughter, Myah Klaren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Steven, her parents, and her siblings.
