DEATH OF LEE WAGGONER.
The sad news was telegraphed to J. W. Sherman on Monday that Lee Waggoner. the eighteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs A. W. Waggoner, now residing in Chamberlain, S. D., had been killed by the cars. The young man was acting as brakeman on the Milwaukee system. As he stepped from between the cars, his foot was caught in a frog, and both legs were cut off. He lived about an hour thereafter.
The body arrived in Anamosa yesterday morning. The funeral was held at the Baptist church this after noon, with interment at Riverside.
Lee was a fine young man, whose many good qualities were well known in Anamosa. He received his education in our schools, and was a pupil in tbe high school when he moved away.
His sad death is a great blow to his relatives, who have the sympathy of tbe community in their bereavement.
