Albert Batchelder
Born 26 July 1839
AHBERT(sic) BATCHELDER, farmer, Wayne Twp., Sec. 7; P.O. Langworthy; he and his brother Stephen are engaged largely in the raising and selling of stock and supplying milk to the creamery at Langworthy; born in New Hampshire in 1832; came to Jones Co. in 1850; has lived here since that time. Wife's maiden name was Harriet Hunter, a native of New York; they were married July 3, 1863; have had four children, three of whom are living, named as follows: Louis, Charles, Ernest and Minnie. Mr. Batchelder is a Road Supervisor in his town; he and his brother, Stephen, are among the oldest settlers in their pert of the county; when they came there, there were only two houses in the part of the township where they live, and, where their houses now stand, grass was growing six feet high. Mr. Batchelder is a Republican; owns ninety-one acres, all under cultivation.
