| LIAL CAREY, farmer, Madison Twp., Sec. 34; P.O. Wyoming; born July 22, 1840, in Dearborn Co., Ind.; in 1853, came to Jackson Co.; in 1860, he came to Jones Co.; owns 130 acres land; enlisted in 1862, in Co. K, 31st I.V.I.; served to the end of the war. Married Jennie Ridings in 1874; she was born in Jones Co.; have two children—Lottie A. and James R. Republican.
