|LEVI COZART, farmer, Rome Twp., Sec. 11; P.O. Olin; born in Virginia in 1824; came to Ohio, then to Iowa in 1862. Now owns 160 acres; made the improvements. In politics, Democrat; in religion, liberal. Has been School Director. His wife, Sarah Emerson, was born in Ohio in 1830; married in 1849, and have had nine children—Andrew, Susan, John (died in infancy), Charlie (died at the age of 5), Henrietta, Sarah E., Flora F., Abel, Mad Ma Masella (died at the age of 4).
