| JAMES HALE, farmer, Fairview Twp., Sec. 35; P.O. Anamosa; born April 4, 1827, in Delaware Co., N.Y.; in 1837, he came with his parents to Illinois; in 1838, came to Linn Co.; in 1876, he removed to his present farm; he owns 140 acres of land. Married Lovina Young in 1862; she was born in Illinois in 1847; they have two children—Don R. and Louis A. Republican.
