Hiram Joslin
Born June 24, 1823
HIRAM JOSLIN, farmer, Fairview Twp., Sec. 26; P.O. Anamosa; born June 24, 1823, in Cuyahoga Co., Ohio; when a child, he came with his parents to Michigan; in August, 1837, he came to Jones Co., Iowa; there were but two other families in the county at that time, viz., Clement Russell and David Mann; he, with his father, entered about twenty-two hundred acres of land; he now owns about five hundred and forty acres. Married Sarah J. Hale in 1843; she was born in Delaware Co., N.Y., in 1826; they have four children—James L., Emily J., Laura E, and Sarah F. Democrat.
