| GEORGE W. LAMMON, retired, Monticello; was born in Paris, Oneida Co., N.Y., November 17, 1807; he grew up to manhood in that State, and came to Iowa by wagon in 1849, and located in Jackson Co.; lived there until coming to Jones Co., and located in Monticello; he was engaged in mercantile business for some years, and has lived in this State over thirty years, and owns property in Monticello. He married Miss Eliza Eddy, a native of Maine, October 27, 1831; they have eight children and have lost two—George I., Martin V., Fidelia, Josham M., Squire S., John T., William L., Mary.
