BENTON MYER, farmer, Hale Twp., Sec. 24; P.O. Oxford Mills; born in Ohio in 1844; came to Iowa in 1864, and bought and now owns 120 acres; has made all the improvements. Was Constable in Clinton Co., Iowa. In politics, Democrat; in religion, Catholic. His wife, Mary Devett, was born in Indiana in 1850; came to Iowa when an infant, and married in l870.
