| SIMON REICHART, farmer, Richland Twp., Sec. 21; P.O. Monticello; was born in Bavaria, Germany, in 1805; he came to this country and settled in Dubuque in 1837; came to Richland Township in 1839; settled on his present farm in 1840. Has five children—John, Adam, Maggie, Barbary and Anna. John was married to Johanna Horner, whose parents were early settlers of Dubuque Co.; have one child—Minnie. Adam married Ann Turnis; has four children. Mr. Reichart's farm contains 380 acres.
