Monmouth; born in Monmouth Township, Jackson Co., in 1854, and came to Jones Co, in 1856; owns forty acres, the old homestead and one of the first settled farms in Jones Co.; the place was bought by his father, now a resident of Jackson Co. His wife, Armenia Kegley, was born in Virginia; came to Iowa in 1851, and settled in Jones Co.; married in 1866, and have two children—James A. and George W. Politics, Republican; religion, liberal.
