NOTE:	Joanne Wilken writes: I received an e-mail from Tom Myles of Sayville, New York. Mr. Myles says that his records show Birth Record #2505 to be for a BRAINARD birth, not a CROW birth as the courthouse records show. If you go to Cass Tsp. in the 1900 census records, Fred A Brainard was been married to Lizzie A. for 9 years. Fred is 32 years old. Lizzie is 30 years old. They have a daughter, Bertha B, who was born in Jan., 1894. Marriage Record # 2933 is for F A Brainard and Lizzie A Crane in Feb. 18 1891. Birth record #2505 reads Fred A Crow (could be read as Crane) and Lizzie (Crane) Crow—Dau., Bertha B., born Jan. 8, 1894 in Cass Tsp, Jones Co. This is the mother's 2nd birth (Brainard's have a son, Asa C. before Bertha B). Fred is 25 and Lizzie is 23. I believe two things happened here: The birth surnames were all entered as "Crane" and then read by the courthouse as "Crow." I am certain this would never have been discovered if Mr. Myles did not know this was true!
