 Cass Township
The first page of the Cass Township census is missing from my records. It is not included in the Ancestry.com transcription either. I will check it out and post it if I am able to get a copy.

The 1852 census included columns for "Colored Males" and "Colored Females," but none were listed for any of the townships.

CENSUS TIPS : You can learn specific information about a family from census records but the primary use of census information is to serve as a connector to other records. When you know the place of residence of a family, you then know where to look for other records such as deeds, marriages, births, deaths and wills.
