Ron says, "Sam Reid and Ann Ross apparently arrived in Clay Twp abt 1855, were married in Jones County Dec. 10, 1855, and remained in Clay Twp the rest of their lives. Sam & Ann lived just on the north side of the hill on which Clay cemetery is located, and are buried in the north row of that cemetery. My Grandfather and Grandmother are at rest between the two evergreens that still grace the middle of the cemetery. Apparently there was another Samuel Reed family in the area (1854, page 4; 1856, page 4; 1870, page 9; 1885, page 61.
