Anson Hayden was born on 24 March 1824. He was the son of Anson Hayden and Mary Ames. Anson Hayden married Marietta Mead on 9 September 1851 at NY. He died on 19 June 1918 at Viola, Linn Co., IA, at age 94, and was buried at Wilcox Cemetery, Viola, IA.
Marietta Mead was born May 5, 1833, Guilford, Chenango Co, NY and died May 17, 1919, Viola, IA; bur Wilcox Cem. She is listed as Margaret on 1895 IA state census.
Anson and Mary were enumerated in the 1880 Jackson, Jones, Co., IA federal census. He was a farmer, age 56, she was 39. Children in the household were J. D. 18, Walter 12, Addie 10, Fannie 8, and Benjamin 4. Anson and Mary E. were enumerated in the 1900 Fairview, Jones Co., IA, federal census. He was a farmer age 76, she was 67. Children in the household were Ada 29, and Fannie 27. |
