Recently, a relative made available to me an old photo album of Mary Jane (Scroggie) Duncanson, who also later married William S. Orr. Mary was the daughter of Andrew Scroggie and Grace Tasker, early Jones Co. settlers. The album contains about 40 photos of people thought to be in the Scroggie and Tasker families in Jones County, IA as well as Scotland. Unfortunately, most of the photos are unlabeled, and we are trying to identify the subjects. Some were taken at several studios in Jones Co. and some in Aberdeen and Edinburgh Scotland. Below I have attached several photos known to be taken in Jones. Co. Most are tin or "carte de visite" photos. Perhaps someone will recognize and help identify the people in the photos.
