Richard J. Albers, 77, of Anamosa, died Saturday, May 2, 2020, at home.
Richard was born October 27, 1943, the son of William “Bill” and Lucetta (Siebels) Albers. He married Mary
Burkey in 1976. Rick was a self-employed contractor and built or worked on many of the homes in the Anamosa area.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two children, Rod (Michelle) Albers and Rochelle Mackey, both of Anamosa;
grandchildren, Gage and Gavin Albers and Dylan Mackey; two great-granddaughters, Emma Mackey and Rylee Albers;
stepdaughter, Rene (Kevin) Wyant-Petrilli of Mesquite, Texas; step-grandchildren, Ashley, Michelle and Nicole, Savon
and Alyssia; and siblings, Dale Albers of Kansas City, Kansas, and Sheri (Richard) Latchaw-Albers of Sacramento,
California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Michael Wyant; stepdaughter, Shana Lerch; and son-in-law,
Jim Mackey.
