Isaac Austin
Died March 18, 1896
Mr. Isaac Austin died at his home in Anamosa, last night, at ten o'clock. He was taken ill with pneumonia several weeks ago, while acting as postmaster, at this place, in the absence of Mr. L.T. Alexander, and he returned to his home, at Anamosa. At that time he was seriously ill and it was thought he could not live. He grew better, however, but suffered a relapse, from which he never recovered, and before death his entire left side was paralyzed. The deceased was raised in Monticello, and attended the public schools at this place when a boy. He leaves a wife. The funeral will be held at Anamosa, tomorrow and the renains will be brought here for burial. They will reach this place about 12:30 p.m. and those who desire to view them will be given an opportunity to do so at the grave.
