Donna M. Barber, 80, of Oxford Junction, Iowa, died Thursday, April 22, 2010, at her home.
Services were held on Monday, April 26, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at the Oxford Junction United Methodist Church, Oxford Junction, Iowa, with Pastor Pat Slater officiating.
Burial was in Mayflower Cemetery, Oxford Junction, Iowa. Friends called on Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Oxford Junction.
Donna Mae Benhart was born April 2, 1930 in Oxford Junction, Iowa, to Edward and Anna Rose (Burda) Benhart. She attended school in Oxford Junction. She married Delbert Keith Barber on September 4, 1948, at the Methodist Church in Oxford Junction.
Donna was a housewife and farmed with her husband, Keith, in Oxford Junction.
She was a lifelong member of Oxford Junction United Methodist Church, where she served as church board secretary for many years. She enjoyed raising her family, the outdoors, vacations, farming and gardening, and was a 4-H leader with the Oxford Happy Hustlers.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Barber of Oxford Junction; two children, Julie (Tom) Koranda of Eldridge and Steve (Kathy) Barber of Oxford Junction; four grandchildren, Brock (Stacey), Danielle and Derek Barber and Drew Koranda; one great-grandson, Griffin Barber; a sister, Carolee (Kenneth) Brinkman of Oxford Junction; a sister-in-law, Peg Hungerford of Cedar Rapids, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
