Edna Bickford Sievers
December 18, 1919–February 14, 1976
Mrs. Edwin (Edna) Sievers, 56, died unexpectedly at her home near Anamosa late Saturday afternoon, February 14, 1976. Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick Catholic church Tuesday morning February 17 at 11 a.m. with the Rev John Barnes officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery. Casket bearers will be James Sievers, Robert Sievers, William Hoffman, Terry Bickford, Michael Bickford and William Weseman.
Edna (Bickford) Sievers was born at Monmouth, December 18, 1919, the daughter of Howard and Matilda (Burns) Bickford. She attended the rural Jackson county schools and on May 28, 1938, was united in marriage to Edwin Sievers. The couple have always made their home in the Anamosa vicinity. They were the parents of a son, Gerald who preceded her in death August 28, 1973.
Mrs. Sievers is survived by her husband, daughter-in-law Judy Sievers; three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Dixie) Danly of Anamosa and six brothers, Harold Bickford, Charles Bickford, LeRoy Bickford and Raymond Bickford all of Anamosa and John Bickford of Maquoketa and Clayton Bickford of Delmar.
In addition to her son, Gerald, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
