Harold Dean Bickford

Funeral services for Harold Bickford were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, with burial in Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Vic Nelson officiated at the services.
Harold Bickford, 64, of Anamosa, died early Saturday, February 15, 1986, at the Anamosa Community Hospital following a sudden illness.
Harold Bickford was born November 27, 1921, in Jackson County; the son of Howard and Matilda (Burns) Bickford. He received his education in the rural schools of Jackson County.
He married Edna Mae Dirks June 19, 1954, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church parsonage. The couple made their home in the Anamosa area. Harold worked as a mechanic in the Anamosa area and also operated a garage in Amber.
He is survived by his wife, Edna; a son, Harold Bickford Jr.; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Dixie) Danly of Anamosa; five brothers, Charles Bickford, LeRoy Bickford, and Raymond Bickford, all of Anamosa, John Bickford of Maquoketa, and Clayton Bickford of Delmar. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a sister and a brother.
Pallbearers for Mr. Bickford were John Bickford, Jr., Michael Bickford, Marlin Bickford, Merlin Husman, Mark Bickford and Steve Bickford.
