Funeral services for Mrs. Loanza Bickford Wright who died at John McDonald hospital Wednesday after a short illness, will be held at the Goettsch Funeral home on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. William J. Grossheim officiating. Burial will be at Scotch Grove cemetery.
Born in Jackson county, Iowa on July 12, 1856, a daughter of Asa and Julia Bickford. Mrs. Wright had lived in Monticello almost her whole life. She married James Wright on July 13, 1874 and they made their home in Richland and Scotch Grove townships. Mr. Wright died November 22, 1910.
Mrs. Wright was the mother of ten children, four of whom—Will, Pete, Elsie and Lizzie, are now deceased. Surviving children are Asa, Charles, Mrs. Saul Bowers of Hopkinton, Frank, Louis and Silas. Twenty grandchildren also survive.
