| Donna Tredway, age 73, died Saturday May 9, 2009 at the Clarence Care Center, following an extended illness.
Funeral services were held 11:00 Wednesday morning, May 13, 2009 at the Onslow Presbyterian Church with interment in the Wyoming Cemetery. Friends called from 2 until 7 Tuesday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello.
Surviving are four children, Alvin (Patty) Tredway, Onslow; Oneita (William) Heister, Lost Nation; Mona (Rodney) Heister, Bellevue; Wylie (Judy Smith) Tredway, Wyoming; nine grandchildren, Kimberly, Casey, Cory, Amanda, Curby, Deke, Will, Brett and Seth, eight great-grandchildren, Lauren, Zachary, Harley, Ann, Rodney, Allyson, Rylan, Abigail, Noah; and a sister, Belle Hickman, Knoxville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alvin Dudley Tredway, a granddaughter, Christine Tredway, three brothers, Harold, Donald, Ray Bonney and one sister Audrey Gerdes.
Donna Jean Bonney was born April 4, 1936 at Davenport, Iowa. She was the daughter of Lester and Lela (Rupe) Bonney. Donna J. Bonney and Alvin Dudley Tredway were married on November 11, 1953 at Monmouth, Iowa.
The couple farmed in the Onslow, Scotch Grove area. They retired from active farming in 1996. Donna had also been employed at Ensign Coil in Cascade in the 1960s and Frank Magid Associates in Monticello in more recent years.
Donna enjoyed family get togethers, reading, crocheting, knitting and sewing.
