Brett Brown, age 44, died Thursday, March 6, 2014 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Funeral services were March 11 at the First Baptist Church, Anamosa with interment in Riverside Cemetery. Friends called after 4:00 PM, Monday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa. Rev. Ron Thatcher officiated at the services.
Surviving are his wife Heather, three children, Claire, Levi and Caleb all of Anamosa, his brother, Monte (Rosanne) Brown, Olin and his father-in-law, George Marshall, Anamosa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Claudette and his mother-in-law, Dorothy Marshall.
Brett Douglas Brown was born September 17, 1969 at Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Linn Mar High School with the class of 1988. He attended Coe College for a year before entering the Electrical Apprenticeship Program with Local 405. He was placed with Acme Electric during the program and continued with them after he was certified. He has been with the Local 405 since 1991. He was united in marriage to Heather Marshall on May 16, 1998 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids.
Brett was a member of the Anamosa Bow Hunters and loved doing things outside with his family. He loved fishing, hunting and moral mushrooms. His wife and children were his life.
