Pam Lynn Brown Keeney
January 21, 1966 – September 3, 2015
Pam L. (Brown) Keeney, 49, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away on Thursday morning, September 3, 2015, at her home in Maquoketa surrounded by her family.
A celebration of Pam’s life was held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 9, at the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the South Mineral Cemetery, rural Onslow, Iowa.
Pamela Lynn Brown was born on January 21, 1966, in Maquoketa to James L. and Judy (Eye) Brown. She was a 1985 graduate of Maquoketa Community High School and then attended Ashford University in Clinton for business administration. She married Brian L. Keeney on April 19, 1986, in Maquoketa. To this union two children were born: Meagan and Amanda.
Pam’s family was always first. She was a terrific mother and devoted wife who also worked outside the home, first at Maquoketa Web Printing from 1990 to 1996, and for the last seventeen years at DAC, Inc., in various positions within the accounting office.
Pam was an active ministry member of First Baptist Church in Maquoketa, where she served as an honorary deacon and teacher of Baptist Youth Fellowship. She enjoyed horseback riding and camping trips.
Those left to honor Pam’s memory include her husband Brian Keeney of Maquoketa; daughters Meagan (Chance) Garza of Maquoketa and Amanda (Andy Stefanik) Keeney of West Des Moines; her parents James and Judy Brown of Delmar; and brothers Dwayne Brown of Maquoketa and Michael Brown of Maquoketa.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and four uncles.
