David Everett Brunscheen

David E. Brunscheen, 67, of Evergreen, Colorado, and formerly of Wyoming, Iowa, died suddenly on Saturday, October 4, 2008, at Jones County Regional Medical Center in Anamosa, Iowa.
A celebration of his life was held Friday, October 10, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the Zion American Lutheran Church in Wyoming, with the Rev. Margaret Debner officiating. Burial was in the Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming, Iowa. Friends called from 5 to 8 pm. Thursday at Lahey Funeral Home in Wyoming.
David Everett Brunscheen was born on September 24, 1941, in Anamosa, Iowa, son of Everett H. and Marjorie (Dukek) Brunscheen.
As a pastor he served seven parishes and retired after serving Lutheran Church of the Cross in Evergreen, Colorado, for 27 years. He loved living in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
He is survived by his four children, Shiree Beckwith of Odessa, Florida; Bart (Elizabeth) Brunscheen of Wichita, Kansas; Jonathan (Jessica) Brunscheen of Evergreen, Colorado, and Jennifer (Michael) Jobe, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 7 grandchildren; two sisters, Marian (Les) Schwartz of Schofield, Wisconsin and Ann (Rick) Gales of McAllen, Texas; and two brothers, Derry (Jill) Bruncheen of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and Rick (Vicky) Brunscheen of Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by his father, Everett on January 14, 1997, and his mother, Marjorie on September 26, 2008.
