Marjorie Butterfield Fairley

Marjorie "Marge" Fairley, 77, of Olin passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Funeral services celebrating her life were held on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Olin. Family and friends called on Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lahey Funeral Home. Burial was at the Olin Cemetery.
Marjorie Butterfield was born August 25, 1936 at Anamosa, Iowa to Kenneth and Anna (Kula) Butterfield. She graduated from Anamosa High School in 1954. On April 27, 1955 she was united in marriage to Robert Fairley in Anamosa.
She worked for Rockwell Collins for seventeen years. She enjoyed canning, pickling, and cooking for family and friends. Her favorite was making horseradish pickles. She loved going for nature rides, helping Bob, hunt, trap, fish and mushrooming.
She is survived by her loving husband Robert "Bob" Fairley of Olin, four children; Sheryll (Larry) Miller of Davenport, Cindy (Jim) Albaugh of Tipton, Lisa (Dave) Klein of Hale, Doreen Fairley of Marion; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, a sister Pat (Jim) Mettler of Anamosa and a brother Edwin Butterfield of Anamosa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a sister and a loving daughter Deb Harris on April 19, 2007 as well as Deb's husband Steve Harris.
