Dora Carstensen Dusanek

Dora Dusanek, 93, of Wyoming, Iowa, died Monday, April 8, 2013 at Maquoketa Care Center, where she had resided the last several years.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the Lahey Funeral Home in Wyoming. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the service time. Burial will be at the Wyoming Cemetery.
Dora Dusanek was born in Wyoming, Iowa, January 16, 1920, the daughter of August and Catherine (Petersen) Carstensen. She graduated from Wyoming High School in 1937. After graduation she helped her parents on the home farm. She was united in marriage to Raymond Dusanek on February 9, 1950 in Davenport, Iowa.
Dora spent her life as a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and fishing. She was an excellent cook. She especially enjoyed going camping with Raymond, spending the time fishing, and visiting with fellow campers. She will be remembered as a gracious host to her family and friends.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1984, three sisters: Emma (Wolber) Paulsen, Herta (Elmer) Bahnsen, Minta (Max) Thomsen; and four brothers, Herman (Esther), Martin (Verna), John (Aldenia), and August (Lois) Carstensen.
