| Hildred Bernice Stivers, 78, a homemaker, died January 10, 1987 at the Phoenix Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Stivers, of Phoenix, was born September 17, 1908 in Wyoming, IA, she moved to Arizona 32 years ago from Texas. She was a member of the Odd Fellow Rebecca Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry Carter, and Tressie Luellia Nichols Carter. Survivors include her husband Emmett; three step-sons, Charles Stivers, Ronald Stivers, and Richard Stivers; three brothers, Elmer Carter, Derald Carter, and Theodore Carter; eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 3 p. m. today at the Chapel of Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave., Glendale, AZ. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Fund, 1445 E. Thomas Rd, Phoenix, Az 85014.
