Jane Ann Catlett Majzel
July 4, 1952 – September 5, 2017
Jane (Catlett) Majzel, 65, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
A visitation was from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, with a brief Meditation Service at 4 p.m. Pastor Ginger Anderson-Larson officiated at the services.
Surviving is her son, Chris; six sisters, Sally Edwards, Jerie (Don) Starry, Janice (Gary) Thompson, Kathy (Randy) Sauer, Linda (Jon) Kreger, and Terri Schmitt; a sister-in-law, Theresa Catlett; and many nieces and nephews and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Gary; a niece Kileen Takes; and two brothers-in-law, Lee Edwards and Vince Schmitt.
Jane Ann Catlett was born July 4, 1952, at Anamosa. She was the daughter of Gail and Selma (Antons) Catlett. Jane attended the Center Junction Schools and graduated from Midland High School in Wyoming. Since 1994, Jane has lived in Olin. She worked at the Unity Point Clinic in Mount Vernon, St. Luke’s Hospital and the Anamosa Care Center in the medical records department.
In recent years, she was co-owner with her sisters in Selma’s Kitchen in Olin. Jane had been an EMT on the Olin Ambulance Service for many years. She always had a big hug for everyone she met.
