Hazel Marie Clampitt Bartels Warner

Hazel Marie Bartels Warner, 89, of Honokaa, Hawaii, and formerly of Oxford Junction and Baldwin, Iowa, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Hale Ho'ola Hamakua Hospice Unit in Honokaa, Hawaii.
A celebration of Hazel's life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 22, 2012, from the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Burial will be in the Buckhorn Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, Iowa.
Hazel Marie Clampitt was born on January 26, 1923 in Palisades, Iowa, to Steven and Pearl (Adams) Clampitt. She grew up in the Oxford Junction area and attended Oxford Junction schools. She married LeRoy W. Bartels on March 18, 1942 in Maquoketa, Iowa and to this union three children were born, L. Ronald, John R. and Brenda Kay. LeRoy preceded her in death on February 13, 1977. She married Donald W. Warner on August 18, 1983 in Maquoketa, Iowa. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2003
Hazel was a homemaker and farmed with her husband LeRoy in the Oxford Junction area piror to his death, and then again with her husband, Donald, near the Nashville, Iowa area.
Hazel was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa. She enjoyed gardening, particularly orchids and roses, dancing, card playing and baking.
Hazel is survived by her children, L. Ronald (Dottie) Bartels of Bay City, Wisconsin and Brenda (Jerry) Burgus of Kamuela, Hawaii; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; and several siblings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, LeRoy, her husband, Donald, several siblings, and her son, John Bartels on June 3, 1998.
