Mary Clements House

Mary House, 88, of Oxford Junction, Iowa, died Friday, June 8, 2012 at her home.
Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2012 at Lahey Funeral Home in Oxford Junction. A vigil service was held at 7 p.m. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oxford Junction. Burial was in the Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford Junction.
Mary House was born March 3, 1924 in Mechanicsville to Kenneth and Sabedia (Reed) Clements. She married Paul House on August 26, 1946.
Mary taught school for forty years in Clarence, Sutliff, and Lost Nation. She also substituted at Midland, Monticello, and Anamosa schools. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oxford Junction, American Legion Auxiliary, Red Hat Society, and the Rosary Society at church.
Survivors are her four children, Sharee Wilkinson of Marion, David (Deborah) House of Oxford Junction, Mike (Rosie) House of Mingo, and John (Michelle) House of Grand Mound; fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Cecelia (Lee) Tisinger of Durant, Sabedia Kean of Yarba Linda, California, and Mary Angela (James) Techau of Chandler, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son Billy Joe in 1969, four brothers and one sister.
