Belva June Coker Leslie

Belva June Leslie, 87, of Oxford Junction, passed away on January 28, 2014 at the Mechanicsville Nursing Home in Mechanicsville. A private family viewing was held Friday, January 31 at the Fry Funeral Home in Tipton. Immediately following, family procceded to the Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford Junction for graveside services. A private luncheon was held at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton, upon conclusion of graveside services.
Belva June Coker as born October 31, 1926, in Jones County, to Walter and Blanche Coker. On September 24, 1947, she married Allen Leroy Leslie at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Allen and Belva had four children; John. Janet, Jill and Jeff. Belva was a full-time homemaker. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary and Eastern Star.
Belva is survived by her daughters Janet Larson, Austin, Minnesota, and Jill Whetstone, Tipton; son Jeffrey Leslie, Tipton; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen; and son, John Leslie.
