| Margaret Peiffer, 72, died peacefully in her home on Monday, July 31, 2017.Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, August 4, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, where friends called after 9:30 a.m. Friday. Interment was in the Wilcox Cemetery, Viola. The Rev. Marty Schuhmacher officiated at the services. Coffee and cookies were served during the visitation.Surviving are four children, William Ellison of Fairview, Danny Peiffer of Sabula, Ben (Teresa) Peiffer of Mount Pleasant, Cassie (Danny) Isaac of Cedar Rapids; her sister, Carrie Hart of Tucson, Arizona; ten grandchildren, Daniel (Sam) Alyssa, Austin, Zach, Devon, Keegan, Cole, Zachariah, Elizabeth and Marcus; four great-grandchildren, Chloe, Vaugh, Dewey and Charlie; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, David, Nelda, Nancy, Marian, Don and Richard.Margaret Ann Peiffer was born September 17, 1944, in Fairview. She was the daughter of Hiram and Mildred (Raymond) Cummings. Margaret attended the Fairview and Anamosa schools. She worked in several care centers during her career which included the Anamosa Care Center, the Jones County Home, and Crestview Acres in Marion. During her time, she was a certified CNA and a certified medical technician. She enjoyed her work taking care of others.Margaret enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening and going to church.
