John Michael “Mike” Dlask

John Michael “Mike” Dlask, 64, of Olin, passed away at Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa, after a heart attack Monday, Jan. 28, 2019. Visitation will be held 4 p.m. 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, with services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at the funeral home officiated by Certified Celebrant Amy Hart. Burial will follow at Center Point Cemetery, Center Point. A Celebration of Life reception and bonfire will be held at Mike’s home in the spring.
Mike was born Aug. 13, 1954, the son of Beulah (Carman) and John Dlask Jr. He graduated from Center Point High School. Mike served honorably in the United States Army Air Calvary. In August of 2011, he was united in marriage to Rhonda Becker. Mike worked as a metal forger then for Terracon Consultants Inc. as a cylinder tester. He was a member of the Olin Masonic Lodge and the Blayney-Miner-Ahrendsen American Legion Post 412 in Olin.
Mike is survived by his wife, Rhonda Dlask; daughters, Shannon (Aaron) Fell and Kelly Dlask both of Michigan; stepson, Monty (Jessica) Ruth; stepdaughter, Serena Ruth; grandchildren, Alexandyr Fell and Xaryan Carmer; stepgrandchildren, Landen, Aedin and Charlie Ruth, and Samantha Robinson; and brother, Mark (Sheryl) Dlask.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Beulah Dlask,Jr.; and grandparents, Ora and John Dlask Sr.
