Anna Dorthea Dose Luke

Anna "Ann" D. Luke, 91, of Wyoming, died Saturday, January 4, 2009, at Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa.
A celebration of her life was held on Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wyoming United Methodist Church, with the Shepherd Karmen Jamison officiating. Burial was in the Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming, Iowa. Visitation was held one hour before service time at the church. Lahey Funeral & Cremation Services in Wyoming was in charge of arrangements.
Memorial may be given to the Wyoming United Methodist Church, Wyoming Fire Department or Midland Ambulance Service.
Anna Dorthea Dose was born on July 24, 1917, in Scotch Grove, Iowa, daughter of Henry and Amelia (Duchow) Dose. She married Harold Luke on April 28, 1940, in Maquoketa, Iowa. He died on March 10, 1976.
Anna worked in a nursing home and at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church. She liked gardening and doing needlework.
Anna is survived by a daughter, Virginia (Richard) Pace of Wyoming; three granddaughters, five great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers, Henry, Ray, Fred and Bob Dose, a niece and a granddaughter.
