| Services were held Oct. 26 for Frank J. Drexier, 84, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairieburg, with burial at the Prairieburg Boulder Cemetery. The Rev. Fr. John R. Hussmann officiated at the services. Mr. Drexier, Prairieburg, died Oct. 23 at John McDonald Hospital in Monticello, following a brief illness.He was born on Feb. 4, 1900, near Prairieburg, the son of Frederick and Anna Stock Drexier. On Aug. 8,1948, at Anamosa, he was married to Ruby Knapp. Mr. Drexier was a cemetery sexton.Surviving are his wife; two sons, Joe Drexier of Prairieburg, and Ronald Drexier of Coggon; seven daughters, Mrs. Kay Beranek of Prairieburg, Mrs. JoAnn Warner of Monticello, Mrs. Connie Boggan of Carrollton, Texas, Mrs. Anna Eiben of Hopkinton, Norma Drexier of Cedar Rapids, Barbara Drexier of Monticello and Mary Drexier of Prairieburg; four grand-children; and one brother, Lester Drexier of Monticello. He was preceded in death by one sister.Casketbearers were Merle Holub, Kenny Marsh, Jim Walmutt, David Zier, Sal Powers and Hubert Powers. Honorary bearers were Ivan Richardson, Joe Sperfslage, Vince Simmons, Harry Holub, Bill Kula and Donald Dolan.
