| Dale D. Ehlts, 58, of Olin, Iowa passed away on March 23, 2014 at his home. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 1:00 - 2:00 P.m., at Lahey Funeral Home in Olin. Burial will be in Monticello Cemetery at a later date.
Dale Ehlts was born September 26, 1956 to Fred and Elizabeth (Smith) Ehlts in Iowa City, Iowa. He worked as a mechanic and automotive restoration. He enjoyed Nascar racing, building bikes, but his greatest joy was for his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by six children: Christopher (Stacie) Bartles of Monticello, Casey Lloyd of Washington, Shila Ehlts of Anamosa, Tony Ehlts of Washington, Taneasha (Lyndel) Berry of Anamosa, Selvanna (Nicholas) Wayne of Monticello; eleven grandchildren, five sisters; Sharon Davis of Monticello, Janis (Melvin) Dirks of Center Junction, Regina (James) Vrooman of Olin, Betty Lynn Hoeger of Dubuque, Karen (Dennis) Tuel of Mount Pleasant, and four brothers; Ron (Katie) Ehlts of Hopkinton, Dennis (Pam) Ehlts of Salana, KS, Rick (Jane) Ehlts of Donaldson, and Tom (Becky) Ehlts of Hendersonville, TN.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Paul and Robert.
