John Allen Farrington, 67, of Anamosa died on Monday, September 17, 2018. A Celebration of Life gathering will take place on Sunday, September 30, at Deb’s Sports Bar in Anamosa. He is survived by two children, Mark Farrington and Tara Farris; seven brothers, Paul, Bobby, David, Larry, Bill, Dale and Hank; six sisters, Norma Arndt, Nita Dirks, Linda McGover, Toni Kurth, Judy Howard and Becky Fronzaglio; two grandsons; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson. Born on August 5, 1951, to Walter and Eleanor (Pavin) Farrington in Anamosa, he was the sixteenth child born to this union. He married Karmen Leta Hankemeier on October 15, 1971, at the Lutheran Church in Anamosa. They had Mark and Tara. John worked for many years in construction. He had made many friends in his life and was well liked by those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Patty Zimmerman, Carol Heady, Samara Sams and Iris Mettler.
