Edwyn Albert Fear

Edwyn FearEdwyn Fear died Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Heritage Care Center, Cedar Rapids following an extended illness.
Funeral services were held 1:30 Friday afternoon, January 19, 2018, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, with interment in the Hopkinton Cemetery with military honors.
Surviving is his sister Virginia Foster of Monticello. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Janice Neybert.
Edwyn Albert Fear was born September 15, 1937, in Long Beach, California. He was the son of Clay and Una (Bacon) Fear. He received his education in the Hopkinton Schools. Ed served in the United States Air Force for four years. He later enlisted in the United States Navy for twelve years. After his discharge from the Navy, Ed worked at the Iowa Men’s Reformatory in Anamosa for a brief time. He retired as a security officer for the United States Attorney’s Office in Cedar Rapids where he was employed for twenty-seven years.
