Sherry A. Garside Dosland

Sherry Dosland, 72, of Wyoming passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Wyoming on Friday, May 12, 2017. A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, at Lahey Funeral Home in Wyoming, Burial will be at the Wyoming Cemetery.
Sherry was born on Oct. 21, 1944, in Iowa to Raymond and Sarah (Lyon) Garside. She graduated from Midland High School. On Jan. 12, 1992, she was united in marriage to Clay Dosland at their home in Wyoming. For eight years, she worked at Rockwell Collins and for almost 15 years she managed Casey’s General Store in Wyoming.
She was an active member of The Turtle Club. Sherry loved the outdoors and spent much of her time camping, watching birds and enjoying the flowers. In her earlier years, she was an avid softball player and enjoyed basketball and roller-skating as well. Her dogs were her pride and joy whom she spent a lot of her time with enjoying camping while using a cast iron skillet over the campfire to make their meals.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Clay of Wyoming; three children, Ron (Betty) Wall of Wisconsin, Lynn Wall of Colorado and John Wall of Iowa; two stepdaughters, Kimberly Jamison of Lost Nation and Christine (Tim) Kreel of Wyoming; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Corieta Lee; and a brother, Gary Garside.
