Joseph Crain Glenn

Funeral services for Joseph Crain Glenn, 73, were held Thursday, June 11, 1998 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa with interment in the Wilcox Cemetery, rural Anamosa. The Rev. Ed Powers officiated at the services.
Joseph C. Glenn of Anamosa died Monday, June 8, 1998 at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, following a brief illness. He was born August 29, 1924 at Olin, the son of Francis and Fern (Crain) Glenn. He attended the Olin area schools and graduated from the Olin High School in 1942. He farmed with his parents and later was employed with Iowa Manufacturing, Cedar Rapids and Taylor's Garage in Olin.
Joseph C. Glenn and Jean Rathburn Kohl were married July 18, 1953 at Knoxville. He was employed with Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids for over thirty-five years. He retired in 1985.
Glenn was a member of the Ancient Landmark Masonic Lodge #200 in Olin for fifty-two years. He was also a charter member of the Coggon John Deere 2 Cylinder Club, and very active in the Democratic Party.
Survivors include his wife, Jean; a son Stephen of Marion, and a daughter, Peggy (William) Husmann of Morrison, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, a special sister-in-law, Rose (George) Pearson of Center Junction, and a brother Robert of Olin.
Preceding him in death were his parents and an infant brother.
