Katherine Gorman, a sister of Dr. T. C. Gorman and M. Gorman of this city, died last Tuesday night in Mercy hospital at Clinton. The deceased had long before taken the sacred vows of a Sister of Mercy and as a member of that order was known as Sister Mary Alfreda. She entered the sisterhood before the removal of the Gorman family from Hale township to Anamosa. Her death was due to typhoid fever. She had been stationed in Chicago previous to her last illness. Delicate health led to a change to Clinton where she entered Mercy hospital and finally succumbed to a complication that challenges the most rugged constitution and under the best favorable circumstances needs medical skills. Dr. T. C. Gorman and wife and Mr. and Mrs. M. Gorman left last evening for Dubuque to attend the funeral.
