Gladys Lena Grim
April 1, 1899–April 8, 1900
Gladys Lena, infant daughter of Edgar H. and Emma H. Grim of Pleasant Ridge, died April 8,1900, after a two weeks' illness from lung fever terminating in inflammation of the bowels. She lacked just one week of completing the first year of appointed time here, when God caught up tbe blossom and transplanted it in the flower garden above. Interment was had in the Scotch Grove cemetery. May the God of all comfort sustain the two little sisters and loving parents in this sad hour of bereavement.

Note:When I searched her name at the Jones county newspapers trying to verify the burial, I could find only this: "Rev. McConnell was called to Fairview Hill west of Anamosa to attend the funeral of the infant daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Edgar Grim." (Wyoming Journal, April 12, 1900.)
