Clarice D. Groth Kell

Clarice Kell, 87, of Olin, Iowa, died Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Anamosa Care Center in Anamosa.
A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Olin United Methodist Church in Olin, Iowa, with Pastor Pat Slater officiating. There was no public visitation. She had donated her body to research at the University of Iowa.
Lahey Funeral and Cremation Services in Olin was in charge of arrangements. A private burial was held in the Olin Cemetery, Olin.
Clarice Groth was born March 21, 1922 in Olin, Iowa, daughter of Paul and Frances (Benischek) Groth. She graduated from Olin Consolidated High School. She was united in marriage to William Dale Kell on March 4, 1942 in Lancaster, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 1, 1999.
She had worked at Cavey's Restaurant as a cook for a few years and she was an Olin correspondent for the Anamosa Journal for many years.
Clarice was a member of Olin United Methodist Church and the Olin American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing Rummy and Bingo, crocheting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her three children, William "Bill" (Sharon) Kell of Monticello, John (Sherry) Kell of Amherst, Wisconsin, and Tamra Miller of Alexandria, Virginia; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Warner of Mechanicsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister and one brother.
