Florence Marcella Harding Hollingshead

Florence M. Hollingshead, 79, of Wyoming, died Monday, October 18, 2010, at Monticello Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Monticello, Iowa.
A celebration of her life was held on Friday, October 22, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Wyoming, with Shepherd Karmen Jamison officiating. Friends called from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lahey Funeral Home in Wyoming. Burial was in Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming, Iowa.
Florence Marcella Harding was born August 4, 1931, in Baldwin, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Etta (Downer) Harding. She married Clayton L. Hollingshead on January 16, 1950 at the United Methodist Church in Baldwin, Iowa. He died on May 21, 1991.
Florence had been a cook at Camp Wyoming. She had also worked at Olin Corners, Brandt Nursing Home and Clinton Engines. She was a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Kathryn (John) Klein of Cedar Rapids, Barbara (Harry) Johnson of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, David (Brenda) Hollingshead of Anamosa, Clayton (Diane) Hollingshead of Onslow, Mary (Dodd) Scroggin of Manchester and John (Kathy) Hollingshead of Wyoming; twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis Wood of Cedar Rapids; and two sisters-in-law, Virginia Harding of Florida and Delores Harding of Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one daughter, Michele, one granddaughter, seven sisters and three brothers.
