Edith Finnigan Dies on Sept. 3;
Rites, Saturday

Mrs. Edith Grace Finnigan, 85, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 6, at 2 p.m., at the Goettsch Funeral home. Burial was in Riverside cemetery.
Pallbearers were Howard Dragoo; L. A. Downing, Albert Benadom, Richard Nickles, Harley Snyder and George Swanson.

Life Outlined
Mrs. Finnigan was born Nov. 18, 1872, daughter of Benjamin and Nancy Harrison, Anamosa. She was married to Fred Sigmund in 1809, he died in 1924. Later she married R. O. Finnigan in 1925, he died in 1949.
Mrs Finnigan spent most of her life in Anamosa. She was active in community affairs, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors and the First Baptist church.
Survivors include one son, Donald Sigmund; three step-daughters, Mrs. Amber Jackson (Allen D.), Mrs. Wilma Peterson (J. L.), Mrs. Mary Joy Hoyman (Leland); 14 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Beside her husband, she was preceded in death by one step-son, Galen Finnigan; three brothers, Bert Wagner, Ernie Harrison and Hilton Wagner.
